2020 SUMMER CAMP UPDATE
With the State of Utah's decision to move to the low-risk (yellow) phase of the current COVID-19 pandemic as of Saturday, May 16, 2020, the Foundation for Children and Youth with Diabetes, Inc. (FCYD) is happy to announce our plans for the 2020 summer camp season.
FCYD will be hosting summer camps for children and youth with diabetes ages 8-18 during the following weeks:
(dates include staff training on first 2 days)
Session 0 June 5 - 12 (teen leadership and training)
Session 1 July 16 - 23
Session 2 July 27 - August 3
Session 3 August 6 - 13
Day Camp dates and location tba, stay tuned.
Family Camp dates and location tba, stay tuned.
ALL DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO THE CHANGING PIECES OF THE CURRENT PANDEMIC
In order to protect all attending camp and their families this season, campers may only be accompanied by one adult during the check-in and check-out process. All other persons will need to stay home or in the parking lot in their vehicle. Additionally, all campers, guardians and staff will be screened at check-in and on a daily basis with medical history and temperature checks. We ask that any camper, guardian or staff exposed to COVID-19 or ill to get a free COVID-19 test. We also encourage each person to arrive with a face mask.
As the low-risk (yellow) phase limits gatherings to 50 persons or less, FCYD will be limiting our camp size to be in compliance with these recommendations. With these limited numbers, we strongly encourage families to register early for camp sessions as we will not exceed these limits.
Please continue to check the FCYD Camp UTADA group on Facebook for additional information, including the release of the 2020 camp application and information packet. This information will be posted to the camp website, once available.
